Terms of Service

The working rules, in plain language. Effective June 2026.

1. Who you are contracting with

Services are provided by Jonas Sappelt, trading as LinguaNox (sole proprietor / autónomo, Spain). Full identification in the Legal Notice. These terms apply to business clients (B2B).

2. Services and quotes

LinguaNox provides translation production services: Verified Translation, Project Preparation, MTPE and Review, Rescue Desk capacity and Terminology Engineering, each as described on this site at the time of quoting. Every engagement is based on an individual written quote (email suffices). A project starts when you accept the quote in writing. The quote defines scope, language pair, deliverables, deadline and price.

3. Delivery and revision

Deliveries are made electronically in the agreed formats by the agreed deadline. Reasonable revision requests relating to the agreed scope are handled promptly and without additional charge. Issues should be raised within 14 days of delivery.

4. Technology transparency

LinguaNox openly uses machine translation and AI language systems under documented human control as part of its production process. Client content is processed exclusively on private, zero-retention endpoints and is never entered into consumer AI tools. Details: Process & Technology.

5. The Project Preparation responsibility boundary

For the Project Preparation service, LinguaNox delivers controlled production output together with a quality-estimation report. This output is expressly an input product for the client’s own post-editing stage. Final linguistic responsibility for content published or delivered onward rests with the client’s post-editors. For Verified Translation, MTPE and Review, LinguaNox carries responsibility for the delivered quality as defined by the agreed scope and documented in the QA record.

6. Confidentiality

All client material is treated as confidential, indefinitely, whether or not an NDA is in place. NDAs are signed on request. On request, named entities are pseudonymized before processing and restored afterwards.

7. Payment

Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice (standard: 30 days) by bank transfer. Late payment may incur statutory interest and reasonable collection costs.

8. Liability

Liability is limited to the invoice value of the affected project, except in cases of intent or gross negligence or where statutory law provides otherwise. Liability for indirect or consequential damages is excluded to the extent legally permissible. The client remains responsible for final review of content before publication where the agreed service level says so (see section 5).

9. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delays caused by events outside reasonable control. If such an event occurs, the other party is informed without delay and deadlines are adjusted in good faith.

10. Governing law

Spanish law applies. Place of jurisdiction is the registered seat of the provider, mandatory provisions unaffected.

11. Updates

These terms may be updated; the version published at the time of a quote applies to that engagement.
